Literacy Leaders' Network
Mission: To build a literate society of readers, writers, thinkers, and listeners
Purpose: The goal of the LLN is to build a diverse community of literacy practitioners working together to share inclusive literacy practices that align to the needs of all students.
Who we are:
- classroom teachers, teacher-librarians, and school library staff
- TOSAs and instructional coaches
- district leaders, school administrators, and program administrators
- professional learning providers and higher education faculty
What to expect in monthly, virtual meetings:
- meet and connect with other literacy practitioners from across Oregon
- share a Bulletin Board of opportunities
- collaborate through self-selected breakout rooms to discuss topics of interest
- read, write, and think about literacy; occasional featured speakers
- highlight high-leverage instructional practices
When do we meet?
- Every second Thursday resuming on October 10, 2024 - via Zoom
Meetings co-hosted and facilitated by:
- Oregon Council Teachers of English
- Oregon State Literacy Association
- Oregon Association of School Libraries
- Oregon Department of Education teams: Language Arts, Literacy, Multilingual and Migrant Ed teams
